Fun was had by more than 250 enthusiastic students in a vibrant colour dash at Louth Academy which raised more than £3100.

The Year 7s and 8s took part in the colourful event at the lower school site on North Holme Road, with proceeds going to charity Lifting Children's Hopes (LCH).

Principal Joe Hermiston thanked organisers and everyone who had supported the children.

"It was a fantastic cross-year event full of energy, teamwork, and fun," he said.

"The £3,100-plus raised was incredible and showcased the generosity and dedication of our school community.

"Staff joined in the celebrations, helping to create a brilliant atmosphere filled with colour, laughter, and unforgettable moments for everyone involved."

LCH partners schools across the region to reach families who need support the most.

Chief Executive Nicola Moore thanked Louth Academy for its generosity.

"We are a local children's charity that is helping to change lives in this community," she said.

"The work we do is so important. We provide responsive support to help improve young people's lives.

"It could be to help them access a school trip or they need a winter coat or have no toiletries at home.

"We believe in families spending time together and, sadly, many activities are now out of reach. We remove those barriers."
